(Obviously this is a gross overview) FundedReport sources data from public disclosures and various news sources to identify recently funded companies. We then use a combination of software and human researchers to enrich and clean the raw data so it's fit for human consumption (trust me when I say that this is much more difficult than we thought it would be). Once everything has a bow on it we dump it into data files and send it to you first thing Monday morning.

The founders/software engineers for the project are: Jon Paul Uritis, Ray Carrender, and Sacha Rose Uritis (Shout out to Eric Tucker for some contributions to the project). We're pretty easy to find online so don't be afraid to reach out.

Originally, we were just interested in learning about all the new tech companies coming out and what they were doing. After looking at other projects in the market, we found that other companies wouldn not provide the functionality we needed (i.e., security, job postings, etc.). So, instead, we built our own. :)

Both subscriptions provide some level of information in an email form every Monday morning. If you sign up for the newsletter, you get a list of top interesting companies of the weeko organized by industry, which includes the company's site URL, short description, some commentary, and (if applicable) their job site URL. If you sign up for the data, you get the newsletter and more! You'll receive a csv file of all the recently funded companies^* from the previous week's data pull and enrichment. This data includes company name, website URL, job site URL (if applicable), industry, location, funding amount, and executives' names and email addresses.

^*We filter out financial, holding, and investment firms.
